BRITTANY LO
I could write on forever about how I found my passion in photography, but I don’t want to bore you. I really hope my passion for what I do shines through my photos and does all the talking for me. Instead I want you to know who you are thinking about hanging out with all day on one of the most important days of your life. So, here’s completely random but true to heart facts about who I really am – not just as a photographer, but as a human being.
1 – If I wasn’t running around downtown documenting people’s lives, I would be an interior decorator. I know a lot of people say that, but I genuinely think I would be. My grandmother was a well known and successful designer back her day and she is someone I absolutely looked up to in that field. Maybe in my next life.
2 – My go to drink is Vodka Redbull. I KNOW HOW BAD REDBULL IS. I’m actively working on it 😂. When I’m being good and not basically injecting redbull into my veins, I’ll opt for a Vanilla Vodka with CocaCola. In my 20 something’s I went and got a tiny tattoo of the pair on my wrist with my bestfriend. At the tattoo shop located right next to the world famous Surething Chapel! 20’s… amiright? What a time.
3 – I collect used books. I like to imagine who owned them before & wonder where they’ve been and what they’ve seen. I have a huge library of my own at home and it’s without a doubt my happy place. When people come over to my house for the first time, I always run and show them and say “hey check out the rolling ladder”
4 – My absolute favorite show is Homestead Rescue. I’m also completely convinced I could survive off grid in Alaska somehow. Why? Pure ego. I kill houseplants – but off grid Alaska, absolutely. Also, should I be more attracted to the son Matt? Sure. Am I? No. I’d date Marty in a heartbeat.
5 – This might be borderline way too personal to share. But, someone very influential in my life told me at the age of 22 that “WORK SUCKS” and the sooner you accept that work sucks and move on, the better. It literally affected me to my core. Changed my DNA. I knew that could NOT be true. Then I absolutely fell head over heels in love with photography and documenting people’s lives. My complete and utter gratitude every single day that I have that this is my career, my life, is indescribable. The reason I show up ready to party at your elopement is because my love for you runs deep – even when we meet for the first time. It’s genuine.
